On 6 April the UK Border Agency introduced new fees for immigration applications. More specifically, they are higher fees. Indeed, the raising of fees on 6 April is one of those Old British Traditions that we venerate (but, strangely, one not mentioned in the new Life in the UK test handbook).

Indefinite leave to remain (ILR) The Immigration Rules have been amended to provide more clarity concerning permitted absences from the UK for ILR applications in the main employment routes, including Tier 1 (General), Tier 2 and UK Ancestry.
